This is our regular Meetup that's been happening for many years now and as it's the most informal it's the best meet up to come along to if you're new. It is a combined Meetup with the other Scandinavian groups.
We first meet at the Scandinavian Kitchen (usually downstairs) and then when they close at 7pm move onto the Nordic Bar nearby.
This is an informal Meetup so just come along, find us (the big table in the room downstairs), pull up a chair and introduce yourself. Sometimes it can get quite crowded toward the end of the Meetup, so arriving early is advised. There are almost always more people than have RSVPed on this site. We leave promptly at 7pm when the cafe closes and walk together to the nearby Nordic Bar. You're of course welcome to come just to the Scandinavian Kitchen.
And at the Scandinavian Kitchen you can also pick up your Swedish groceries.
Each Meetup has a mix of new and familiar faces; beginners, competent conversationalists & native speakers; as well as people who are just interested in the culture and meeting new people. If you're new you may find yourself in a conversation in English, Swedish, or even Danish, but as long as you're prepared to move around you'll always find something that suits.
Everyone is welcome along with friends of any nationality.
