GDG London / LJC - Developing on the Google Cloud Platform with Java

Join us for an evening of talks about developing on the Google Cloud Platform with Java.

We'll start with a talk from Roman Kirillov a Software Engineer at Google, who will be discussing how to use Google Cloud Endpoints to build third party APIs on AppEngine.

The second talk will be from Mandy Waite, a Developer Advocate at Google, who will be talking about the pros and cons of running JVM languages such as Groovy and Scala on Google App Engine

This meetup is being organized by the GDG London and London Java Community, with food & drink sponsored by Google. Both talks are suitable for both experienced developers and people who have limted experience with the Google Cloud Platform or Java (the skills are transferable to other languages).

6.30pm: Registration & networking (pizza & drinks included)

6:50pm: A quick intro to GDG and LJC

7.00pm: Talk #1 from Roman Kirillov on Google Cloud Endpoints - Building third-party APIs on Google AppEngine

Building scalable web APIs using Google AppEngine and writing clients using Google API client libraries.
8:00pm: Talk #2 from Mandy Waite on Running JVM languages on Google App Engine

The pros and cons of running JVM languages such as Groovy and Scala on Google App Engine
8:45pm: Networking / drinks

We'll head to a local pub (most likely The Slaugheterd Lamb) if people are still in need of a beer or two at the end.
