I don't really have a favorite book though I DO have several series that I follow closely. The 1632 series, the Honor Harrington series, the Live Free or Die series, the Safehold series, the Looking Glass series, and the Korval series. By the way, ANYONE who likes science fiction/fantasy should go to Baen.com and check out their "FREE LIBRARY" where they have over 120 books that you can read online (or download to your computer) by over 40 authors (some of them very famous). On their website they also have SAMPLE CHAPTERS (that you can read online) from many of their books that they have published or are soon to be published. Sometimes their sample chapters are over 1/4-1/3 of the whole book. This is a great way to see if you like the book before buying a dead tree version. Photo is Bun Bun from http://www.Sluggy.com. It is a tossup between 4. Eric Flint who writes the 1632 series and co-authored the Belisarius series with David Drake along with editing and writing a TON of other books. David Weber who writes the Honor Harrington series and coauthored several of the books with Eric Flint in the 1632 series, the Safehold series, along with several other series and a bunch of other books (total books written is over 50). John Ringo who writes the Troy Risingseries AKA Live Free or Die series, the Paladin of Shadows series AKA Ghost series (which is NOT sci-fi and should only be read by mature audiences due to, as the author describes it, it is a "techno-thriller crossed with porn"), the Aldenata series, and the Looking Glass series amongst other things (including the Council War series which I beileve is deals with dragons/magic VS technology. Sharon Lee/Steve Miller who writes the Korval series. Currantly John Ringo is edging out in front because I think he is writing faster LOL.

It has been a long time (about 23 years) since I played any board games (or RPGs). Everyone I have met so far has been very friendly and helpful. I plan on trying to make as many meetups as possible in the future.
Friendly people and a lot of fun.
