What we’re about
We are a group of Long Islanders and friends who share the passion for trails and nature. We hike, bike and paddle the many trails Long Island has to offer. We explore the Long Island trails and share its beauty through our photos.
LITE is an open forum for trail enthusiasts and outdoor groups. Many of us are also members of one or more outdoor organizations or meetups here in Long Island and outside - AMC, ADK, EHTPS, LITLC, LI Greenbelt, NHOC, Sierra Club and others. We connect with other groups and/or excursions here in Long Island and the tri-state areas to participate in their events.
To be accepted as a member of Long Island Trail Enthusiasts, your meetup name must be easily matched to your real name. It is suggested that you use your first name and last initial unless you have a widely used first name (like Mike or Linda) in which case you should give your first name and the first three characters of your last name.
