Waking Down is a transmission activated embodied awakening process.  It has 3 aspects:

Waking aspect - connects us to our transpersonal self: the dimension of ourselves that is larger than the 'personal' or egoic self.  We begin to feel our lives are connected to a larger intelligence and order.  The ego surrenders to something larger than itself.

Down aspect - the Waking Down transmission has the effect of bringing us deeper in to our bodies so that we can enjoy "the sensual delight of being alive".

Mutuality aspect - is the relational aspect that connects us to others and holds us as we go through the transition to our awakened lives.

Our gatherings, called sittings, include silent meditation, mutual gazing, and conscious sharing in a setting that facilitates embodied trust.

Come to a Waking Down Meetup and give yourself the chance to steep in a sacred space dedicated entirely to the deepening recognition of all that we are. You may have an extensive spiritual history, or little, or none.  You may feel hunger, dissatisfaction, pain, or futility, and that's OK -- we'll meet you wherever you are.

We welcome you to join this collaborative exploration of Embodied Awakening!

NEWCOMERS...

We encourage you to read a little about Waking Down before the sitting so you have some context and can optimize your time at the sitting. In particular, we recommend these essays:

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
