What we’re about

The Longmont Go Club is for players of all ages to gather and learn to play one of the oldest board games in civilization.

Go is an abstract strategy board game invented in China more than 5,500 years ago, and is the oldest board game continuously played today. There are more than 40 million Go players worldwide, mostly in East Asia.

Go has simple rules, but is highly complex. Two players vie to position stones on the board and capture the most territory.

Players of all ages and levels are welcome and encouraged to come and share knowledge with each other.

Players under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Let’s get together and have fun engaging in one of the most awesome and mental battles around.

We have a limited number of boards and stones, so if you have a set please bring it along.

The club meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2pm unless otherwise noted.

Please contact David McCurley with any questions.
