Please join us for our monthly bread bake! Our wood-fired oven is holding good temperatures for three or more loads. Particularly nice crumb & crust. Bakers enthuse about the flavor. Each firing has meant an increase in varieties: whole grain sourdough, baguettes, drunken raisin, sourdough rye, seeds & sprouts. And we've been ending with a baked sweet treat and ice cream.
Hope you can join us for this community gathering of folks who enjoy making and eating great bread, baked in a wood-fired earth oven. And after bread, the oven remains hot -- above 300F -- for hours. So if you want to bring a pot of stew, some potatoes or corn to bake, a casserole for dinner, take advantage of that wood-fired oven tradition: use stored oven heat for something great to eat. Please RSVP.
Oven will not be fired if rain is probable.
Donations at the event will be welcome and will help support the firewood and oven tool fund.
