Multi-agent real-time simulation in Clojure

Hey I'm new to this meetup and wondering if anyone is interested in a session hacking from Rick Hickey's 2009 demo of ant-colony. For my work at USC I want to use Clojure as a multi-agent massive programming tool for simulating large number of neurons -- in real-time. Similar techniques can be used to generate multi-character animation like can the Massive software, which made the hit while producing scenes for the Lord of the Rings.

Hey guys my demo is up: https://github.com/minosniu/mod-ant-colony

I didn't have enough time to finish the core.async version. But the current code should already be some fun.

For the ant-colony demo I'm trying Rich Hickey's latest core.async. Should be able to put up 3 snippets by the weekend, using either agent, overtone.at-at or core.async.

Love multi-agent modeling, but I've had something come up... so I no longer can make it.

Sweet, I think I can make it on Wednesday!

I proposed this topic when I first joined this group. Recently I wrote some Clojure snippets to explore further from Rich Hickey's ant-colony simulation. If this turns out a go I'll talk about those attempts.

Nice, Minos; I'd come. Also, we'd love to have you talk at the CS reading group (csrg.org); we're currently going through AIMA and love Clojure. It's a good match.

FWIW: here's my own rewrite to a recent vintage clojure:

Also Stu Halloway's Clojure West presentation is marginally relevant:
