Prerequisites
Some programming and JavaScript experience is assumed.
Bring your own laptop.
Beginner Track
We won't have a beginner track this time.
Advanced Track
We'd like to foster an environment for discussion and collaboration. To facilitate this we encourage people to bring projects/ideas to show off and discuss.
Dan Yoder (https://github.com/dyoder) will talk about how developing in CoffeeScript offers unique advantages compared to JavaScript that go beyond mere syntactic sugar. He'll use the development of the Nice component-oriented HCI framework as an example.
Afterwards, we'll also go around the room and have you show off your projects/ideas for discussion.
Agenda
We usually eat, drink and mingle until around 6:30 when we officially get started with introductions
RSVP
We have limited space. You're required to RSVP.
Leave a comment about what you're working on, any CoffeeScript projects you may be bringing with you, etc. so others can see what you're up to.
Parking
In the parking lot we're only allowed to park in spots clearly labeled "Visitor" or "MuckerLab"
Street/metered parking is available
ParkMe (http://www.parkme.com/map?s=910+Colorado+Ave%2C+Santa+Monica%2C+CA) has more parking information.
