Driving Technical Change: Clojure at Factual, a Case Study Clojure is a hugely powerful programming language that requires a new way of thinking for some. In the context of Terrance Ryan’s ‘Driving Technical Change’, Aaron will talk about Factual's experience adopting Clojure. He will highlight key lessons learned while driving technical change. The audience will leave with proven ideas to drive technical change back home.

WebSockets: The Real-Time Web, Delivered

The time for WebSockets is right around the corner! The WebSocket protocol is approaching finalization, with new features including support for transmitting binary data. The latest draft is in "last call" status in preparation for IESG review and subsequent publication as a full RFC. In this presentation, we'll dive into how the protocol works on the wire and wrap up with some simple example code with Node.js on the server and FireFox 7 alpha on the client.
