Topics for the month are:
• “MongoDB Aggregation – because you have more than one document” Querying data through mongoose will only get you so far. Do you need to run a report? Get an answer to a nagging statistics question? Produce some metrics on your application or users? If so, then the aggregation framework is for you! This talk will explore why, what and how of the MongoDB aggregation framework.
This topic will be presented by Nuri Halperin who consults, develops, and teaches software development with passion. He designs and builds systems, websites and line of business applications. He has been getting mission critical projects done for companies large and small - from small start-ups to large corporate clients. He authors online courses for http://pluralsight.com , and provides hands on training to companies wishing to take their team to the next level.
He is frequently found at the Silicon Beach community in LA. Nuri enjoys interacting with developers and helping people reach that "Aha!" moment. He is a frequent speaker at tech events. When he is not working on a project he dreams up another one, or learns something new.
• "How to effortlessly integrate Three.js into your projects"
This talk will focus on how to add 3D animation to real-world projects. It'll cover the basics of how to get started with Three.js, and how to build animated interactions that can be used in seemingly normal web apps.
Jason Farrell is the speaker of this topic and he is very passionate about helping people create seemingly impossible things through technology and design. Jason is the CTO and co-founder of Use All Five, a digital agency located in Venice, CA. He and his team have designed experiences for organizations such as the Guggenheim, Toyota, Google, and numerous other brands.
While he’s not helping people solve tough problems, you’ll find him hiking the mountains of LA County or slow cooking a brisket in his backyard.
