This Sunday we have the exclusive use and our own bartender at a very cool Sunset Strip Lounge and patio overlooking all of West Hollywood with another group of mine the SoCal Meetup Organizers... But you can only find out about it here:

1) What's the deal with this Ning thing?

Here are some cold hard facts from Neilsons Net Ratings... Ning's social network platform grew 300% quarter over quarter for the past year. Meetup's social network? -3% growth... So if you want to be on the ground floor of hot moving social network.. NING is it.. They started with 200 million in seed money, Meetup less then a 1/10 of that... And now it shows...

2) Why do I need to be on so many things.. What about my privacy?

If your personal life and professional life conflict, then do what one of our members does, use two profiles with different emails. Simple and it works. If they don't conflict then just be smart and not post any pictures of you passed out in a dive bar bathroom...

3) What's the point of all these networks and tweets and stuff?

PSEO. Personal Search Engine Optimization, the next event I organize will be a mixer to boost your LinkedIn profiles. Every major headhunter uses LinkedIn. And if you are independent consultant, CPA, Lawyer, or etc, you want your profile to pop up on a Google search (for example) "Los Angeles CPA" for example, then you need to spread your profile over the web so Google will see a "Social Net or Mesh" of interconnected links that is critical to boost your profile in any search. I used do SEO for companies so I know every ethical trick in the book...

4) Does all this social stuff work?

Not if you don't combine your Facetime with your online presence. Meetup is still the King of Facetime, and I don't do deals without a handshake. And five minutes of real facetime is worth more than a 1,000 emails or tweets or blogs about anything from someone I have never actually met. But does having an informative blog, or large Facebook friends list or Meetup Group mean anything.. Well according to my research at UCLA Sociology. Absolutely! And I have the research articles to prove it..

Twilight Lounge Space is your social life preserver and Social GPS to navigate all these tools, networks, and tips to be successful.. SO Spread the Word!

See you Sunday!
