Our workshop is this coming Tuesday evening. If you haven't yet, please be sure to RSVP to reserve your seat
If you are bringing a laptop or netbook to follow along, you'll just need two things: a browser and a text editor.
You can use the browser of your choice: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Camino, Safari, Chrome, etc. Whatever you like.
Macs include a simple text editor called TextEdit and PCs include Notepad by default - while you can use these for edting HTML, you'll find the process a lot easier if you download and install a more fully-featured text editor. I recommend Notepad++ for PC users, which you can download at SourceForge
and Textmate for Mac which you can download at Macromates
. Note that Textmate is not a free program, but it does include a 30 day free trial, so you can use it for a bit before you decide if it will be useful to you or not. These two programs are only my recommendations - if you use and love something else, feel free to use a different program for the class.
We'll start at 7pm sharp, so please be on time. We have a lot to cover!
I look forward to seeing all of you and meeting the new people who have joined.
