About the Group

We are a small, friendly and unpretentious walking club based in Edinburgh and affiliated to the Ramblers Association. Our members have a wide range of experience. Some have completed all the Munros (Scottish mountains over 914m)and are returning to these for their umpteenth time, while others have no such ambitions. We enjoy coastal, forrest and urban walks too. We always welcome and encourage new walkers.

Two walks are scheduled each month whatever the weather, rain, snow or shine. All walks have experienced leaders (so you dont need to worry about navigation) and are graded to suit different levels of fitness; one easy and one more strenuous each month. Transport is provided using members cars and the fuel costs are shared equally. You might also want to bring along some 'spend' for a possible coffee stop on the outward trip and a pub visit on the journey home, as well as a change of clothes.
Walk leaders send out an email to all members two weeks before each walk inviting you to sign up. There are limited number of places so its important to reply to the leader requesting to join the walk.

We also have regular social events:  pub nights and dining out as well as weekends away.
