Bio: Ana Maria Sanchez holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and is a Holistic Counselor, founder of Free The Light Within. She worked 10 years with San Mateo County in Special Education and The Mental Health Department specifically with the probationary population. Within that period, her duties ranged from substitute teacher to case manager, social worker then bilingual therapist.

Ana Maria  greatly enjoyed her career up until the time came where it was no longer possible to ignore the great pain she had been repressing. There were great hardships endured in her youth and young adulthood that she never allowed to be deeply looked at nor processed.

During those turbulent years, Ana Maria lived in an illusion of substance abuse and a series of volatile domestic relationships.Those memories began to resurface and she quickly found herself in the dreaded "dark night of the soul" which, in turn, became the best thing that could have ever happened.

Ana Maria stayed there for quite some time, feeling rather sorry for herself, only emerging out of the house to retrieve life's necessities such as groceries then quickly rushing back to the comfort and security of her bed. After 2 long years, she alas became sick of that existence and feverishly sought out to understand her situation. She embraced all forms of personal spiritual development culminating into the joyful survivor she is today.
