We're looking for makers & shakers of all kinds. Interactive designers, landscape designers, experience designers, light designers, urban planners, data geeks, architects, sculptors, metalworkers, woodworkers, gamers, electrical engineers, structural engineers...ALL OF YA.
If you've spent any time in downtown Louisville, you know there is a mess of ramps at Main and 9th and a big scary piece of dark overpass for pedestrians to navigate under. This is often considered the “gap” or “divide” between the parts of town and often where people abandon their walks from downtown. This effects the growth of what lies beyond that.
Collectively, as a community of awesome creatives, we’re going to look at that area specifically and brainstorm what could be done to get people from point A to point B and vice versa. What might be the thing that draws them and what can be done to get them there safely? The city has ideas, the businesses and residents have ideas, we want to hear yours now. Here’s the location we're targeting: 878 W Main St http://goo.gl/maps/mDq8g
What would your expertise add to a project?
We're meeting UPSTAIRS at Old 502 Winery b/c as you well know...alcohol is what lubes the creative engine & we'll walk from there. We need to be out of Old 502 by 7PM.
