I decided to start this group to promote Objectivism locally and to meet others with an interest in ideas and activism.

The purpose of the group is to provide an educational forum where Ayn Rand's ideas can be studied and discussed, a social venue for person's interested in Objectivism, and as a vehicle to both understand and influence current events.

Among other activities, we will view and discuss lectures and speeches of interest to the group, watch or participate in educational courses available online, host study groups on particular topics in philosophy, politics, art, etc., discuss other vehicles for further education or activism, organize hosting national speakers at local events, and enjoy social activities such as group picnics, museum trips, etc.

Anyone who would like to learn more about Objectivism, Ayn Rand's ideas, philosophy and its applications to life and politics, and socialize with others with similar interests should join this group.
