The Louisville Open Source Programming Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

Details
An interesting program has come together this month, with something for both developers and sys admins (...er, and, yes, SysOps/DevOps folks) plus the restuvus:
-participate in (or observe) a live scrum session, part of our ongoing Agile project led by Deven Phillips.
-see and hear about the first iteration of our scrum subject: a topic manager for our KyOSS meetings, this prototype (http://kyoss-topic-manager-prototype.meteor.com/) iteration written by Alan Blount using meteor.js
-debate whether this first iteration was really developed in a properly scrummy way ... and just how proper does scrum/agile need to be in the first place?
-And witness the first system output of all this input: the first topic suggested by our first iteration of our topic-manager-in-development:
And that topic would be:
---Container virtualization: kinda like virtual servers, only not, and maybe better, sometimes. We'll talk about Docker, SmartOS, and other things.
Come and join us! We usually have between 15 and 20 Linux users, admins, and programmers show up. Good conversation and networking and some great presentations.
Come and join us! We usually have between 15 and 25 Linux users, admins, and programmers show up. Good conversation and networking and, often, a great presentation or two.
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month. If we don't have an announced program, feel free to come with a discussion topic or a presentation to make to us! (Or just come and join the conversation!)
