Come to the Feb 2014 Inventor Association Meeting

Well, it's been a little while since we had a Charleston Inventor Meeting. Several things have happened since November, not least of which was the holidays. Both Greg and I have been very busy with work projects and helping the Columbia club get off the ground so we didn't get a chance to meet in December or January.

Now it's time to get back on track. For those of you who didn't know, we have lost the space at Flagship for our meetings effective the first of the year - causing us to move back to the Mt Pleasant library and leaving us at the mercy of their schedule.

Greg and I have managed to secure a spot on Wednesday Feb 19th at 6pm for our February meeting.

The meeting topic will be "The anatomy of a licensing contract" where we will go over a typical inventor licensing deal and delve into the nuts and bolts of what should (and should not) be in your next deal.

So join us on Feb 19th at 6 pm.... and bring a friend!

Thanks everyone for coming out to the Feb meeting of the CIA. In March (we still have to lock down the date) we'll be teaching a class on how to invent an ASOTV product. It's simpler than you think, and hands down the fastest way for any inventor to start making money.

I second guessed my way out of this meeting, I recently been in a mental state to not get excited about my 22 ideas- but seems like every time I spend money - someone gave me bad advice. So honestly even though i find myself a positive successful person- my fear kicks in and I struggle to get started only to see it not workout and several thousand spent. Any suggestions?

Step one is to understand most of the money you would spend as an inventor is not worth spending. We show people how to get inventions to market for less than 100 bucks all the time. Don't over think this... and get hooked up with people who don't always want something from you - you'll do fine Justin, just take it a step at a time

Mark, I was hoping to get to thank you in person for the wonderful insight tonight, but got cut short when the library closed. You provided some invaluable insight, and I look forward to participating in future events!

Thanks Phillip.... that's the downside to using the library, they are pretty strict about the time. Just let me know if you have any questions and we'll make sure they get answered

Was really hoping to get to come, but between being sick and my daughter starting gymnastics last week (Wednesdays 5-6) I will not be able to come for a while longer. Can I contact you for questions later?

If someone has ever wanted to move their idea from the ' wishful thinking' stage to ' actually doing something about it', this is the opportunity you've been waiting for..... See you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
