.NET Mono development on your RasberryPi!

by Travis Feirtag @theRobotGeek

The Raspberry Pi is a very low cost, credit card sized single board computer. It was developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation with the intention of promoting the education and teaching of computer science in schools. Good things come in small packages and the Raspberry Pi does not disappoint. This presentation will first discuss the overall features, design and architecture of the Raspberry Pi. Then we'll get into how easy it is to load the OS onto the Raspberry Pi. Once the OS is loaded, you will see what comes free with the Pi. After all that, we'll write some code to run on the Pi. This wouldn't be a .NET UG meeting without writing .NET code to run on the Pi.

The Raspbery Pi is an exciting, low cost platform to produce many new and exciting projects. I hope that you enjoy the talk. If you already own a Pi, please bring it so you can follow along. You will also need an SD card to load an OS to run your Pi.
