Dear our members,

We are delighted to invite you to the fun and memorable night!

This year's last MAFS will take place Thursday, 6:30 pm, Dec. 6th at 5051 St. Urbain (on 3rd Floor, at the corner of Laurier Street). To celebrate of activies of the MAFS 2012, we organize an Asian film night with various Asian Films (shorts and fun films - TV commercials from Asian countries etc... ). In additon, at midnight, there will be a feature film screening, either THE CLONE RETURNS HOME (a poetic Japanese Sci-Fi film) or BREATHLESS (a strong Korean social-violence drama) depending on your choice on the spot.

This event will also be like an international potluck, drink and a stress-out night with all of you. The space capcity will be about 30-35 people. Reserve your seat in advance!

Ticket price: $7 general public, $5 students.

Group ticketing (a bundle of 5 tickets) available - contact us to discuss.

A bottle of beer $3

Asian buffet $10 per person: as much as you want to enjoy the delicious variety of homemade food of the night! Pancakes, Korean-Kimbup, Japanese-maki and much more!

Thank you! It was great to meet, talk, eat and watch films altogether.

After the event, MAFS team went through all of the aspects of the night. It seemed the event went well but the price. Since some had more drinks etc, we would consider, if the price was a bit less, than everybody could have enjoyed the night better! So we will take into consideraton to reduce the price from next Meetup.
We plan to make the price as low as possible.

Please feel free to post your comments and feed back. We will take them seriously and apply to develop MAFS with you. If you are interested in becoming the team to organize the MAFS, let us know of.

Yummy food! 1st short was great about the jobless salary man in Seoul. reminds me of the classic Ikiru by Akira Kurosawa. On mange bien. Premier court était grande sur l'homme salaire de chômage à Séoul. me rappelle le classique Ikiru par Akira Kurosawa.

2. The place is on 3FL. The door will be opening between 6:30-7:00pm and just walk in. After, ring the bell and we will open the door for you. Or call us at [masked] if you have any trouble to find the place.

3. We ask you for taking off your shoes to come in the place. If you'd like to wear shoes on, please bring your home-slippers or socks.

Good, funny and interesting Asian shorts, music videos that are directly from Youtube will delightedly welcome you! Hang-out, chill out while watching them! Drinks are available on the spot!

7pm, Buffet for $10 per person. You can eat as much as you want! Introducing and getting to know each other!

7:40-8:00pm, Program to support local Quebecois filmmakers - a local Quebecois director, Danny Malin, will present his new film (starring a local Asian actress in the film) and follow conversations.

8:00pm, Best Asian shorts - programmer Gauthier P.

9:30pm, Talking with the members, more food & drinks!

10:30pm, MAFS part I - Over

A special edition - Midnight screening:
The Clone Returns Home (Japanese poetic SF film, 137 minutes), dialogue in Japanese, subtitled in En.
