Ceph goes BIG for Data, OpenStack & the Storage of Everything!

Details
In the October 2013 OpenStack User Survey, Ceph was found to be the most popular option for distributed block storage amongst OpenStack users. Innovative technology, financial, telecommunications, and academic organizations are among those that have production Ceph systems. So what does the acquisition of Inktank by Red Hat mean for the scalage storage solution that provides block, file and, Object storage from the same cluster?
Join us on June 24th at MESS in San Jose Area as we host three great experts in the field of Ceph & cloud:
• Farid Yavari - Sr. Data Center Storage Architect - eBay
• Jean-Charles Lopez, Tech Architect with Inktank/Red Hat
• Eli Karpilovski, Mellanox - Manager of Cloud Development
Farid Yavari is the Senior Storage Architect for ebay Inc. Farid has many years of industry experience in next-gen data center ops, global architecture, and IT cost structure alignment through the use of dynamic, on-demand infrastructure. Farid has direct experience with ceph-based storage and will share his views on using ceph for production workloads
Jean-Charles (JC) has been a technical architect, a biz-tech consultant, and is now senior technical instructor with Inktank/Red Hat. JC has traveled extensively and now pours his technology passions into code and software-defined and software-implemented systems - particularly storage. JC will share his insights on a diverse set of ceph use cases drawn from actual field deployments.
Eli manages the Cloud Market Development at Mellanox Technologies. In addition, Mr. Karpilovski serves as the Cloud Advisory Council Chairman, and previously served as product manager for the HCA Software division at Mellanox. Eli holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Holon Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from The Open University of Israel.
