What we’re about
The Mandarin-English Toastmasters in Mountain View is a specialized Toastmasters club. Beginning September 2024, we will be in-person only on Wednesdays. In this club, you can develop speaking and leadership skills in English, in Mandarin Chinese, or in both languages. Learners of both languages are equally welcome!
🥇 Regularly apply lessons learned in English or in Mandarin language classes--and reach the next level! For business, volunteer work, travel, or life in general.
👼 Speak your non-native language, as best as you can, in a safe and encouraging environment.
💬 Speak your native language, to help non-native speakers learn.
🤝 Practice running professional meetings in English and in Mandarin Chinese.
🌍 Network and mingle with others of all ages and from many different walks of life.
All levels of proficiency are welcome. Visits to club meetings are free for everyone.

About Toastmasters
Toastmasters (http://www.toastmasters.org/) is a nonprofit educational organization, of volunteers, by volunteers and for volunteers. Toastmasters operates clubs worldwide for helping club members improve their speaking and leadership skills.
Toastmasters provides a safe encouraging environment to you, centered around:
· prepared speeches, · impromptu speeches, · evaluations/feedback and
· running meetings/clubs.
Mountain View Mandarin-English Toastmasters provides an additional, unique stage for bilingual growth.
Prepared speeches follow Toastmasters International's Speech Project curriculum. Running meetings/clubs follows Toastmasters International’s prescribed agenda formulas.
You can visit clubs everywhere from Mountain View to Beijing to Paris. By joining, you can participate in clubs everywhere.
What you gain out of Toastmasters is only limited by what energy and effort that you put into it. If you cannot make time and invest effort, you will probably get nothing out of Toastmasters.
If you invest in yourself, there is no limit to where your journey will take you.
