About us

The Mid Island Pilot Club was established June, 1996 by the Mid Island Air Service and a group of pilots and student pilots passionate about aviation. Our desire is to fly to destinations that allow us to share our love of aviation with each other and with other pilots we meet along the way.

This month will feature Bill Korbel, retired News 12 meteorologist talking about trip planning for weather. He will discuss spring and summer weather and its effect on trip planning.

Every Sunday we will have a lunch flight to a different destination (subject to change based on weather)

For renters who would prefer to fly rather than jumping in an available seat, Mid Island has agreed to offer a 20% discount off the airplane dry rental rate! Remember, owners will receive a $.25/gallon fuel discount for fuel used for club trips. And, if anyone wishes to make this a training flight - instructor time will be billed ONLY for the time on the airplane clock. It is just requested you buy the instructor lunch in lieu of paying for ground time.
