The Experienced Rider Club: We Ride...
Welcome to the Minnesota Motorcycle Touring Club (MMTC). The MMTC is open to experienced adult riders with established riding skills on any brand of motorcycle.
Ride descriptions are posted before the ride to set expectations. Rides vary in length and duration, and the range includes anything from a brief ride to meet for a coffee or a half day outing at 150 miles to all day or several days at 350 miles. Rides are typically planned to include interesting paved roads that are twisty and winding with a variety of curves and terrain. Any riding planned for on unpaved roads will be clearly described in the ride description. The ride leader will pause at stop signs and turns to allow the group to reform. Groups are usually 8 to 12 riders; if there are more riders than that we will break up into multiple groups.
All members are welcome to participate on all rides. Each rider is expected to ride at a pace that is comfortable for them. Overall ride pace is defined and communicated in advance by the ride leader. The straights are generally at or near the speed limit, and the styles below apply to sections of the ride with more directional variation.
