MSP Multicultural Club Celebrates 100 Countries!

Did you know that I’ve been keeping track of everyone’s answer to the question “What countries have you lived in?” and posting them to the “Read more about us…” introduction on our Meetup Group page? We just received another new member and her answer put us to exactly 100 countries! Isn’t that amazing? We’ve grown to almost 400 members in 8-1/2 months and we’ve collectively lived in, not just traveled to, 100 countries! Isn’t that amazing?

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know so many of you and I look forward to meeting the rest of you at an upcoming event. I sincerely appreciate those who’ve stepped forward to host an event. We encourage any group member with a great idea to lead an event or series of events. Just fill out the "Let's Meetup and…" suggestion box on our group page and we'll get it posted. Please review the guidelines for event hosts on our “Pages” link.

Please take a minute to review your group profile by selecting “Members” then “My profile”. We also appreciate your event and group reviews to show appreciation for our hosts and also to let us know when there’s room for improvement.

I’ve included our current group introduction below. If I’ve missed a country that you’ve lived in, please let me know.

I’m so glad that all of your found us and I look forward to many more great events together!

MSP Multicultural Club

Have you lived in more than one country, traveled to several countries, worked in a multicultural setting, or have a lot of friends from different backgrounds? Then this group is for you!

We're not your typical "armchair travelers"... we've truly "been there, done that!" While we enjoy living here, we don't believe that Minneapolis / St. Paul (MSP), USA is the center of the known universe.

While there are many great local groups for expats and specific languages or cultures, we want to bring everyone together for a truly global experience!

We encourage all group members with a great idea to lead an event or series of events. (See guidelines on the "Pages" link above. We absolutely do not promote events seeking to profit from sales of travel, language lessons, etc.)

With just our first 390 members, we've lived in, not just traveled to, all of these countries: Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia, Brazil, British West Indies, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, China, Colombia, Congo, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Kosovo, Latvia, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Virgin Islands, and Zimbabwe… what an incredible group!!!
