Speak Up! Speak Out! with the MacEwan Toastmaster Club

Interested in developing your communication and leadership skills? Consider MacEwan Toastmasters!

How Does It Work?

The Toastmaster meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure setting.

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another's presentations. This evaluation process is a key part of the program’s success.

Meeting participants also give impromptu speeches (Table Topics) on assigned topics, conduct meetings (Chairperson skills) and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure.

Members learn communication skills by working through a series of communication and leadership manuals.

Whether you consider yourself a "scared stiff" speaker or someone who is fairly confident speaking to a crowd, Toastmasters can help you further you communication, leadership and mentoring skills.

What a great subject to start speeches! Family provides us with endless reasons to provide stories and talk.
Looking forward to hearing from our newest members!

Bring on November with our new monthly theme - Life's little Stories. We have two new Toastmasters giving speeches under the weekly theme of "Family." Join us and give your support to these young speakers. Prepare yourself to join in our impromptu speaking challenge.
Don't forget to go to our club website and schedule yourself for a speech or meeting role. Agendas are now available until the end do the year.

    See you Tuesday.
