NodeSchool #5
Details
NodeSchool Madison is part of the global NodeSchool effort to voluntarily teach Node.js to anyone! The source code for the workshops is completely open source and the effort is entirely community driven.
The NodeSchool meetings are working sessions, so bring a laptop. Mentors will be available to help if you are just getting started with Node.js, JavaScript, or programming in general.
We are going back to the basics for beginners. We will be covering Learn You Node and Javascripting. These are great for people just getting into programming or those learning more about node.
For the more advanced users we are doing something new. We are going to start contributing back to the community. There are a number of workshoppers that could use some TLC. We are going to work on fixing bugs and improving quality by submitting pull requests. Very excited about the positive impact we could have!
Dinner will be provided.
