Welcome to The Madison Newcomers Club

Meet other women in your community for friendship! Gather with women in your local area who share the same goals and interests as you. Whether you are new to the area or have been here for years you are encouraged to join.

The Madison Newcomers Group has many planned activities and subgroups -- Dining group, Movies, Scrap-booking, Book club, Bunco, and Moms and Tots. Our group has been in Madison for years, but we are new to "Meet-up". There is an annual fee of $25. But, you can join as a guest for free and come to your first activity for free. Request to join our group and be approved as a guest. When dues are paid, you will become a member and receive our newletter that details our events.

If you would like to try an event, contact the organizer listed in the Meet Up for that event. They will email you the details. If you enjoy the event and wish to join, pay the membership fee. We will put you on our official email/evite list to receive our newsletter and invitations to our activities. A membership form can be found in the files tab on this page.

Madison Newcomers' Club offers several different groups for our members. You can join as many as you'd like. We strongly encourage our members to start a group if there's a group that you're interested in that you don't see listed here.

Moms and Tots
This is our biggest group and includes mothers and their young children. They meet once a week on Wednesday mornings. They alternate between meeting for activities with the whole group and meeting for play dates in smaller subgroups. New subgroups are formed regularly.

Movie Night
Let's go to the movies! We meet once a month usually around 6:30 for various movies. After the movie we usually head to a nearby restaurant for a little food and conversation.

Book Club
Book Club meets monthly to hold an informal discussion and socialize. Our goal is to encourage reading for enjoyment. Books are picked by members based on an interest in subject matter, author, or just plain fun. The books can usually be found at the library. New members are encouraged to join us.

Scrapbooking
Whether you are a novice or a veteran scrapbooker, come join the scrapbooking group. The group meets bi-weekly and alternates between meeting at member's houses and at Archiver's in Middleton. New members are always welcome, although we ask that you RSVP a few days in advance to the hostess.

Dining Group
Do you enjoy sampling new cuisines and trying out new restaurants? Are you interested in making new friends while enjoying a delicious meal? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you may be interested in the Newcomers' Dining Group. We meet once a month for fun dining experiences, which may include a pot-luck dinner at someone's home, themed dining events, or trying out a new restaurant. Members of the dining club may attend any or all of the events, depending on personal taste. We are open to suggestions for new dining experiences and welcome anyone who likes to eat!

Bunco
Bunco is a fun an easy dice game that requires no skill. This group meets on the third Tuesday of the month at a member's house to play Bunco and socialize. The group is made of twelve players, which is grouped in September, but new players are always welcome.
