The ABC’s of Bees

What food contains every element needed to sustain human life, including water? Never spoils? Has antiseptic properties? Is best kept at room temperature? HONEY.

Our guests this week, Karen and Dave, the owners of Pape’s Patch, will teach us about bees, beekeeping and what it takes to run a successful apiary. Karen and Dave have been keeping bees for 50 years. We will learn about the role of each bee in the colony, managing them, ordering bees and the care in the spring, setting the hive up for the best advantage and the supplies and equipment needed.
