Magento Meetup Ireland - Part 11

Details
Hey Folks,
After a spring / summer hiatus we are back with our 2nd Magento Meetup of 2015 on Tuesday 6th of October at 7pm
Our previous hosts and sponsors Engine Yard have since moved to Talbot St and as yet their office is not quite ready to host a meetup. In the interim, the School of Retail and Services Management* and the Arthur Ryan Retail Centre at the DIT Aungier St. have stepped in and offered their campus for the next Meetup. Thanks to Colin Hughes for supplying the space, see below for more information on the School.
Thanks also to Realex Payments for sponsoring this Meetup. For more information on their online payments services check out http://www.realexpayments.com
We'll kick things off at 7:00pm and allow 30 mins for networking to give everyone a chance to catch up. The Meetup will take place in Room 1078 on the First Floor beside the Library.
7:30pm - 8:00pm: 'Magento 2 is coming, get ready...'
As most of you will be aware Magento 2 is very much on the horizon and to help merchants and developers to get to grips with what this means, Gordon Knoppe who is a Business Solutions Architect as part of Magento Expert Consulting Group will be giving a talk on Magento 2, outlining what this means for both Magento Developers and Merchants.
8:05 - close: Demystifying the Payments Landscape
The world of online payments is cluttered with upstream and downstream companies and it is becoming more and more complicated for merchants and developers to navigate through the terminology and tasks involved in accepting money from customers online. Paul Dunne, Head of Business Markets at Realex Payments is going to present a synopsis of the payments process, the main players, and their roles + what's on the horizon for online payments.
Once we are finished we'll head over to Against the Grain on Camden St for a beer, the first one or two of which will be kindly sponsored by Realex.
