Special Critique Session

Here's how it works: Email 15 pages in Manuscript Format (Double Spaced, Times New Roman or Courier, Name in the header along with page numbers) to: [masked]

Pieces for this meeting are due by 12/12/2013

Please make sure that you use Doc or RTF file when submitting, not Docx.

Please include the Genre of the piece and also if it's a short story, novella or novel.

It's important to get your pieces in early so that everyone has time to read and critique them. I'll email the stories out to everyone 7 days before the Meetup.

Each person will have 2 minutes to critique. There will be a timer to keep participants on time so that we can get to each piece in a timely manner. Please limit your comments accordingly and hit only the highlights so that we have enough time for everyone to be critiqued. They'll be getting your written comments, so there's no need to try and read all your comments at the table.

If you are submitting a piece of a novel, please include a short synopsis of what's gone on before so that people can focus their questions on the chapters submitted.

I just got some good news: my story, "Safe," has been accepted for inclusion in a British anthology titled "Fear's Accomplice," scheduled for release in January 2014.

"Safe" was an assignment given in Jonathan Maberry's Short Story Class. It's actually the first horror story I ever wrote. Of course, this critique group helped me polish "Safe." Thanks for your help!

I'm feeling like a proud uncle! That was the first of yours that I read and still one of my favorites. I remember how impressed I was with your writing and feeling very fortunate that I was in a group with such high caliber talent. Congratulations!
