Welcome, Main Street and area Parents!

Join us to get to know other families with toddlers and preschoolers living in the Main Street neighbourhood. Feel free to join if you live closer to Clark/Commercial or Cambie/Oak, we are not exclusive to Main itself :)

We meet up for activities such as playdates, bowling, soccer, water parks, sledding, walks, and more. We also post some weekend events for those of you who work during weekdays. Dads are very welcome to attend all meetups and we encourage it. We periodically post some Moms & Dads only events for us to get to know each other and have adult conversation.

Our group has members from a diverse background from stay-at-home parents to those who work full-time. The one thing we have in common is the joy we get from spending time with our kids.

If you are committed to having fun with your kids and meeting some of your neighbours this is the group for you.

MEMBER TERMS: We've been at this for awhile and no-shows for our Meetups are unfortunately an issue at times. When an event is posted, those of us who have RSVP'd arrive on time and wait for the other members we are expecting to attend, often to find that they don't show up. In some cases, a venue is booked for a specific number of participants and other Meetup members have been turned away because the event is full. In order to be a member in Main Street Moms, Dads, and Preschoolers Meetup, all we ask is that you commit to attending a meetup if you have RSVP'd yes. If you are subsequently unable to make it, please change your RSVP by the date of the meetup. No shows (RSVP'd yes but don't show up without changing RSVP) are not respectful and a member will be eliminated from the group after 3 no-shows. A member will also be considered inactive and removed from the group if s/he does not attend a meetup for more then six months.

$5 one-time membership dues cover Meetup costs + time organizing the group. Fee payable at your first meetup attended. Thanks!
