The Blender Sessions - An intro to 3D modeling

Blender is a free and open source 3D modeling program used to create powerful 3D applications, film, or video games. Jim Pollard a local animation enthusiast has volunteered to take us through an introduction to this powerful piece of software. This is a FREE session for anybody interested. Space is limited to 15 people so please RSVP only if you are definitely going to attend.

Feel free to bring a notepad or laptop to take notes. You can find the latest version of Blender at http://www.blender.org/ . It is also highly recommended that if you intend to follow along to bring a mouse. Number pad keyboard help when modeling in blender but you should be able to follow along without one.

Awesome and inspiring. I had no idea that Blender was so feature rich for CGI.

I would totally come to this but I have a conflict. I have always wanted to see how Blender works. I currently use 3dsmax and Vray for architectural production. I don't know anyone else in charleston that works with these programs.( I moved hear this summer) Check out my website www.nolanddesignstudio.com to see examples of my work. I would love to find someone that could help me with modeling assignments on larger projects.
    Cheers,
    Philip
