Raspberry Python Class - Twisted Raspberry Python

Details
This workshop will cover the basic use of a Raspberry Pi similar to our basic Arduino Workshops. We will cover:
Setting up a Raspberry Pi with Raspian (as needed) Exploring Python on the Pi with IPython Debugging in Python on the Raspberry Pi Using Twisted Framework on the Raspberry Pi Interfacing to the Raspberry Pi's IO pins Automatically starting a python script when the Raspberry Pi boots Additional topics TDB This is basically the Raspberry Pi equivalent of a basic Arduino class. It is recommended but not required that you complete up to Lesson 20 in Learn Python the Hard Way (http://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/) or equivalent.
For anyone who took a previous Raspberry Python class, this is at the same level but with different content. This class will cover similar interfacing to "Raspberry Python Class - Hardware + Python to Control it," but using the Twisted Framework rather than direct interfacing. There is very little overlap except in the basic setup and neither class builds on the other.
Cost is $50 + $15 materials, but only $25 + $15 if you've taken another Raspberry Python class.
You must bring your own Pi or arrange for us to order one for you.
Andy Fundinger is a professional Python developer and trainer. He's been programming for almost 28 years and in Python for 8 years. This is the 4th Raspberry Pi class he's developing and teaching at the MakerBar.
