We are celebrating National Robotics Week by having a Robot Day by letting robots take over the library. We'll cover robotics education, development, and even funding for robotics.

Bring a robot to let it roam the library or for show and tell. If you don't have a robot, don't worry, you can dress up like one or make a simple robot with a hands on activity provided by the library and exhibitors. This is a free community event for all ages.

In the Auditorium, we'll have these speakers presenting on all topics relating to robotics:

12:30 (KEYNOTE) David Bruemmer, CEO & CTO of 5D Robotics

1:00 Greg Schlumski of R2 Builders

1:30 Katie Rast, Director, Fab Lab San Diego

2:00 Jerry Grauman, Production Manager, ROBO3D

2:30 Vic Wintriss & June Clarke Founder & Lead Teacher The League of Amazing Programmers

3:00 Ping Wang, Director, Qualcomm Robotics Accelerator Powered by Techstars

3:30 Hansol Hong, Director of Business Development, RoboLink

In the Courtyard, we'll have a quadcopter fly cage provided by SD Drone User group to demo some flying robots. We'll also have different exhibitors and some free hands on activities.

On the 8th Floor Reading Room, we'll have evern more exhibitors and hands on activities.

On the 9th Floor in our Special Event Suite, we'll have a BotBall table on loan to us from our high school, e3, for students to see robots compete in a BotBall Competition. We'll also have other exhibitors and FIRST Robotics Teams with robots roaming around. There will also be hands on activities.

There will be something for everyone at this event.
