Meetup "Mastermind" Working Group
Details
In addition to our monthly book club meetings - where we will be discussing the books that inspired the founders of Meetup.com - we are also developing several small working groups to focus on specific interests vis a vis our Meetup experience.
We are experimenting with our "Promoting Your Meetup" format by exploring the potential of Napoleon Hill's "Mastermind" model, more broadly known as an "accountability circle". Attendees at last month's event each set one goal related to their interest in Meetup.com. During our working group meeting, on September 23, 2008, we will review what we've accomplished in the prior month.

Whether an organizer looking to build your group, or a member who wants to share your enthusiasm for your favorite group, encouraging current members to come to events, and introducing new members to your group and to Meetup.com, is hard work! Let's learn from one another to develop the skills and strategies to make our promotion efforts both effective and fun!
I'm looking forward to working with you to develop strategies and tools for promoting our respective groups!
Mo'Joe Cafe is on the corner of Mineola Boulevard and 2nd Street: right next to LIRR Mineola Station. Peak trains from Penn Station at 5:23, 5:33, and 5:51 arrive shortly be our 6:45 p.m. start time. (The 6:08 train arrives minutes after.) Return trip is off-peak.
By vehicle, traveling south from Jericho Turnpike, turn right on 2nd Street, just before the overpass, and it's right in front of you; traveling north from Old Country Road, make a left at the bottom of the overpass, and it's right there.
