Grateful For Love--Out On The Trail

I need a fairly mellow hike on this day. I've been leading private hikes for a woman who has conquered some major peaks and she is whipping me into shape but tiring me out.

This is rolling hills and you can take it as far out and back as you desire.

There are a few options at the top and it will definitely be a challenging workout but not with the intensity and steepness that makes it feel like too much.

I will take you to the cave that Jim Morrison supposedly "tripped on acid."

My plan is to take ya'll to the cave and hang out there a bit then if you like the trail thus far, you can hike as far out as you want then turn back.

I'm going to head back to where we started and climb up the fire road that leads to Bulldog Motorway. While I won't be going down Bulldog today, it's good to know it's there and what's at the bottom.

The old Mash television show site is still there. The climb back up to the parking lot is 4 miles of relentless hill. Perhaps you can do it another day, you'll know where it is now!

So, there's only one way up there and it is Via PCH. You'll turn up Corral Canyon (there's a 76 station on the corner), and drive and wind up for a good 5 miles. It will be a spectacular drive up! Just keep driving until you hit the dirt road that leads to the dirt lot--we'll find each other at THE TOP! CARPOOLING is highly recommended since there isn't a ton of parking!
