Let's Do The Hike of Your Life. I wrote about it awhile back, it's a story about how a hike is pretty much like life.

If you don't have the time or interest to read that, here is a description of the actual trail without the philosophical meaning:

We'll start out and drop down into the canyon, it will be flat briefly. Then we'll climb out of the canyon on a trail that feels like it goes on and on. It's not too steep but it climbs consistently.

Once at the top of that trail, we'll go over to the Canyon View Trail and roll along until we DESCEND. It is a long descent that is a bit too STEEP. Well, it's not THAT steep

We will climb and climb and reach the peak, then we'll roll along until we descend a steep descent. We'll have one last climb back up to the parking lot. This is a moderate/intense hike, depending upon your level of fitness. Let me find all the numbers and stats you all like to have.

Afterward, if we're feeling it, we'll grab something to eat and drink perhaps.

I've missed being out there with you all, but my life got away from me a bit. I'm back!!!

This is a little over 4 miles. The climb in the beginning is pretty steep and rolls and climbs for about a mile. Sweeping canyon and ocean views abound! It's about 600 to 700 ft of climbing.

Bringing enough water is essential. Bring more than you need. Cambelbacks are really great for storing at least 70-100 ounces of water.

When hiking with the group. you agree you are holding yourself responsible for you. I am here just to share the trails, and can't be held responsible if you don't come hydrated, bring enough water, etc.

This hike will move along at a steady pace with not a lot of stopping. Sure, stopping to shoot a photo here and there, but we are hoping to make this hike a challenging fitness hike. :)
