This weekend there is a walking weekend elsewhere - so numbers may be down a little Every Sunday we have a walk which starts off at 1-30pm prompt, and is usually 4-5 miles .... something like that
Before we start, from 12-00 noon, we meet at a local pub or restaurant and the walk will either start from there or somewhere nearby.
After the walk, we can stop off at the same venue, and have a cup of tea, a drink or a meal - whatever you would like to do.
So the format is informal and flexible.
It's designed to be more of a lunch and amble than anything else, something which will provide a little light exercise and a good social. Please make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain.
The walk leaders are all members of the club and are volunteers, so unlike other walk groups there are no fees to be paid.
There are car share options available, so if you are stuck for a lift just mail the organiser and we'll do our level best to help.
There are usually between 15 to 25 walkers dependent on the weather and location - so by all means come along and join in, ..... It;s a great gateway to the rest of the club, you can talk to new and exisiting members and find out about the full range of events we have on in Manchester every month.
Just let us know you're coming along on here and we'll make sure you 're made to feel very welcome !
