September Meetup: Tool Jam!

As it's back to school time we thought a practical focus on some tools would be useful for our September meetup.

Net Tuesday Vancouver recently held a "Online Tools for Charity. Speed Dating Format (https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-social-media-nonprofits-social-change/events/48954762/)" event in which they took a quick look at various tools and services people are using:

Imagine Pecha Kucha meets the Association of Fundraising Professionals meets Ted Talks meets SXSW meets Speed Dating (well, ok, maybe something a little less extreme)

So - we want to try something similar for mcrn2!

Pick Four Tools...

Let's pick four tools that are interesting but maybe not fully explored in previous meetups. For example:

Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/) IFTTT (http://ifttt.com/) Storify (http://storify.com/) Sparkwise (http://sparkwi.se/)

Discuss them...

We'll give each tool 15-20 minutes to find out:

How does it work? Who's using it? How can it work for non-profits?

Last minute pitch...

We should also have time for anyone to stand up and share their favourite tool in two or three minutes....

Tell the #nptech world...

Let's also use something like Social Source Commons (https://socialsourcecommons.org/) to publish and share what we find out too
