The word "mandala" is the Sanskrit word for "circle," yet a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a symbol of life itself - a visual diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds. Carl Jung once said, “I knew that in finding the mandala as an expression of the self I had attained what was for me the ultimate.” Together we will explore the use of mandalas within many spiritual traditions; create mandalas in different ways; and transform our lives through the healing, balance, and self-discovery these images reveal! No previous experience is required to create a mandala, although these methods and exercises you may well awaken your inner artist.
