This is a dance party meet up like no other. Come learn to dance festejo, landó, zamacueca, marinera, zapateo and other festive dances from Coastal Perú. We started this meet up because there is not a permanent place for enjoying Afro-Peruvian dance in New York... and it is so rhythmic and fun that everyone should experience it!
All who enjoy dancing and a social environment will love this meet up. No pressure and learning as you go will be the norm... just bring your fun attitude!
World renown musicians will play live: Master percussionist and three time national Peruvian zapateo dancing champion Freddy "Huevito" Lobatón leads the music and the party.
We meet starting at 11:30pm every Saturday night. The dance party starts promptly at midnight. Reservations are required to attend. Tutuma Social Club is an intimate venue in the heart of Manhattan!
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
