This is a free introductory class for those of you that need to sharpen your web design skills or have doubts of how to star in the web design field.

We will learn how to set up a site in Dreamweaver, how to work with Dreamweaver CSS templates, how to optimize images for the web and how to organize your files amongst other things. At the end there will be a raffle of a web design book.

While we do this, we will discuss web design essentials, concepts such grid, wireframes, screen resolution and web standards.

Moreover, we will discuss the difference between a web designer and a web masters and when is good practice to use flash and the Adobe Dreamweaver Certification.

To finalize, we will explore the design and technical aspects of 3 popular websites chosen by the class.

The class will take about 2 hours; it is recommendable for you to bring your laptop with any version of Dreamweaver. Since this is a short introductory class, we will not go in deep analysis of everything Dreamweaver has to offer since it?s a very robust program, but this class will definitely help you clarify and understand the latest web design professional practices.
