Happy 2010. Our new meetup of the year is on January 14th at ThinkCoffee(basement classroom)

Implementing video on an email campaign has proven to be a very successful marketing technique. Not only improves click through rates but it also gives the designer another chance for creativity.

However, there are some limitations on email video, but some emerging technologies like HTML5 and other third party solutions will go mainstream very soon

We will go over the basics of properly coding an email campaign for those how are just starting. Then we will explore the potential of using animated .gifs on your campaign and will do a quick demo of how to achieve this using Adobe CS4 suite. In addition we will also share some ideas on how to design a campaign compatible with mobile Internet browsers.

Our friends at Litmus will soon be launching a new feature in their superb testing services for mobile devices. We will conduct a live tutorial of this feature. With it, you can see how your email campaigns render in the different mobile platforms.

Hope to see you all there, these are very exiting a relevant subjects, as you all know the mobile revolution is here. The meeting place is in the basement of thinkcoffee on Mercer Street, a great venue for tech and culture events. There is wireless Internet and electric outlets but bring an extension cord if you are planning to bring your laptop just in case.
