Mapping with R

For our September Maptime, Kent Johnson will teach us about mapping in R. We will walk through a simple example of loading GIS data into R and making a slippy map with leaflet.js. No JavaScript coding needed!

As always, beginners very welcome. Please bring a laptop. If you want to follow along, you should install a few things ahead of time:

• R - install the latest version for your platform from https://cran.rstudio.com/

• RStudio Desktop Open Source edition - latest from https://www.rstudio.com/products/RStudio/

• Data and code will be available on Github before the meeting.
