Hello Maptime CPH!

In a little over a month, OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/) will be celebrating it's 12th Anniversary worldwide. What better way to celebrate than a day helping to #MapLesotho (https://maplesotho.wordpress.com/about/).

In the morning we will introduce OpenStreetMap and Mapillary before heading out to take some photos of the area. We'll come back to upload our photos and enjoy lunch and drinks provided by Mapillary.

Ciarán Staunton, Dave Corley and the Ambassador of Lesotho to Ireland and Nordic countries will also be joining us via Hangouts from their event in Ireland. The plan is to have #MapLesotho present as well. Tech gods permitting, Portmarnock (http://www.dublinpeople.com/news/northsideeast/articles/2016/05/22/4119809-portmarnock-students-win-gold-in-competition/) will join from the Philippines where they will be representing Ireland a the SAGE World Cup.

In the afternoon we'll walkthrough how to use OpenStreetMap's iD (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/ID) editor to edit maps. If time permits we will run through JOSM (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM) as well, a java based editor with many useful features. We have access to 13 PCs but bring a laptop if you have one to guarantee access to a computer.

Once everyone has a hang of it, we can edit Humanitarian OpenStreetMap tasks in Maputo, Nairobi and maybe even Lesotho. Even if you're comfortable using OpenStreetMap, it would be great to have your help supporting new people learning to map.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
