At the Meetup, I’d like to share some insights into FileMaker solution analysis, and how to improve both performance and UX in your solutions:

• Designing for Performance - some highlights from our research and testing on this subject, including some new ideas I’m presenting at FM Dev Meetups and DevCon this year.

• The New InspectorPro 5

InspectorPro is a commercial tool that I built which provides comprehensive analysis of your FileMaker 12 & 13 solutions:

• Identify references and dependencies.
• Analyze your solution's Calcs, Scripts, Fields, Triggers, Layout Objects, Security and more.
• Compare differences between solutions.
• Visualize all script interactions ( Script Universe )

The New InspectorPro 5 has been rewritten from the ground up, and offers a number of improvements. The DDR-parsing plug-in is 64-bit and optimized for taking advantage of all the cores on your machine. I’ll show you how the UI was re-written to take advantage of FileMaker 13 Styles and simplify the UX. And I can show you how we use JavaScript libraries (d3.js) to create data visualizations like the “Script Universe” that give you insight into your solutions.
