Rider Responsibility and Liability Statement

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport. Ride responsibly.

When joining a meetup with Marin Mountain Bikers it is your responsibility to ride safely at all times. Helmets are always required. Do not ride above your level, maintain a controllable speed. If you are unable to ride a trail safely, get off and walk your bike.

Meetups are gatherings of individuals for group rides. Meetups are not courses or guided.

While we hold safety as our highest objective, accidents do happen. Hosts are asked to be helpful at all times, but they are not supervisors, instructors, doctors or professional guides, they are individuals riding with other individuals. Marin Mountain Bikers and all meetup hosts are not responsible for your safety when riding - you are. Additionally Marin Mountain Bikers and all meetup hosts are not liable for any injuries or damages sustained during rides.

Be safe, have fun.

By joining this group, you hereby RELEASE and DISCHARGE its owners, principals, affiliates, presenters, organizer, assistant organizer, hosts and participants from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action that you now have, or may have in the future, for injuries, damages, death and/or economic loss of any kind or nature, arising in whole or in part out of the activities, advice or information contained herein. You further agree that if you or someone under your supervision uses the information on this website you assume all risks of injury, damage, and economic loss, without limitation, and release providers from all liability therefore.
