Cyber intrusion attempts impact the United States in substantial and potentially disastrous ways. As our enemies increase in sophistication, those protecting our national assets must work together to ensure their intrusion attempts do not succeed. This session will discuss Cyber Analytics and Information Sharing, as well as showcase an innovative cyber analytics portal developed on MarkLogic to demonstrate analysis for Big Data information sharing to the US Government.

Gary Katz is a Senior Consultant at MarkLogic Corporation with expertise in text mining, analytics, and semantic technologies. Throughout his career he has served as a trusted resource to both domestic and international government agencies regarding metadata exploitation and data fusion on Big Data. Most recently, Gary has worked with MarkLogic's customers and partners to provide innovative solutions to mission critical cyber problems.

It was nice to see Gary Katz, who is a good speaker. The description of the Cyber Analytics process was very interesting, along with countermeasures. I was a little disappointed that the MarkLogic processing was based on synthetic data in defined XML files.

Lots of fun, as always. The way the technology was applied was the most interesting part of this talk. It is a collegial and well-informed crowd, with lots of perspectives and good ideas to contribute when questions are raised.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
